Artist Statement

I feel lucky to be in the place of my life to be able to paint. Going into the space, the wonderful place where painting or any creative work takes you is addictive. I now paint for the chance to be in that space for as long as possible. I have let go of the fear that what I have created is not “good enough.”

Now I paint for me.

I hope you will feel some of the joy that comes from my painting practice. I still get caught in the “product” mind and have to remind myself at the start of each painting session that If I paint with a product mentality rather than a process mind, I will not feel the joy and aliveness that sometimes comes with the “practice, work and just showing up” to paint.
